The Appeal

It was Jaguar’s 3 Series, blending classic XJ styling cues with modern mechanicals, but it has taken enthusiasts a little while to catch up with how good the X-Type is. These well-built, rare and stylish motors, imbued with a very good chassis, are perfect for the daily drive.

There’s a strong argument to say the X-Type you want is this one. It has the 200bhp V6 petrol engine, all wheel drive and that rarest of X-Type treats - a manual box. Finished in award-winning Liquid Silver metallic with full black leather trim, it is an exceptionally low mileage car that has passed through just three keepers in its 19 years.

Those keepers have kept up to date with servicing and maintenance throughout its life. Recent work in January this year included welding to the sills and front floor and a brake system overhaul.
