The Appeal
We don’t envy the engineering team behind the Corvette C6. Pulling it out of the bag after six generations of America’s sports car was a high bar.
Yet they delivered. And with the Z06 they created arguably one of the nation’s greatest ever two seaters. Light and devastatingly quick, the nimble 7 litre Z06 was a very American riposte to the European sports car invaders.
America loves its Z06 but they are very rare cars on these shores. This very low mileage example’s bright yellow paintwork doesn’t mess around. It’s surely exactly the colour a Z06 should be.
It has stood the test of time well thanks to very low mileage and spending most of its life - to 2018 - on the salt free roads of Japan. The maintenance file is more than a match for the condition, supporting the sparing use and showing regular servicing irrespective of mileage.
The Z06 is a rare and interesting alternative to rivals from Germany and Italy. And definitely a viscerally exciting one.
