The Appeal
When it comes to a Jaguar, it's little wonder people are after a big, luxurious V8 that feels as in tune with its heritage as it does luxurious and up-to-date. It seems Coventry lost track of that themselves, but rather than mourning, you should take it as an open invite into the X350 saloons.
The XJs simply got everything right, and the X356 - a single-year facelift - brought the already rather impressive tech bang up to date, with minor styling evolutions that maintained the heritage styling that made the XJ such a showstopper. Thanks to that single-year status, the Jaguar Super V8 Portfolio is an exceptionally rare model, with only about 100 right-hand-drive examples produced for the UK market and a total production of just 300 worldwide around 2005–2006.
Designed by Ian Callum, this model combines exclusive features, a high-performance engine, and design elements inspired by Jaguar’s Concept Eight show car.
This impressive example carries the top spec with the Portfolio trim embraced in its cossetting cabin - but it doesn't end there. Originally based in Japan, this imposing black car has everything going for it - beautifully kept and accompanied with a complete Japanese history file.
