The Appeal

You probably don’t need us to tell you why buying a DB9 is a great idea. After all, just look at it. When you do buy one it is all about condition, mileage and provenance.
This car ticks each of those three boxes thickly and firmly. Its duo of keepers - the current one since 2010 - have kept the mileage below 25,000 and yet it has been regularly maintained with 12 service stamps by Aston Martin main dealers. The last service was by highly regarded Swallows at 23,291 miles.
The specification will also hold strong appeal to buyers. Classically finished in dark grey with a fetching burgundy leather cabin - augmented by burr walnut veneers - the condition is impressive for a twenty-year-old car. Recently refurbished factory alloy wheels add to the effect.
There are few drop top GTs as alluring and rewarding as a DB9 Volante. This well-kept, low-owner, and low-mileage car fits all the key requirements when you’re buying one.

The Condition

  • Handsome and popular dark grey metallic paintwork in very good original condition
  • Few indications of use across paintwork being limited to stone chips to sills and a handful on bonnet
  • Bodywork is straight and well kept with no corrosion or metal reaction notable
  • Underside in good order with no structural advisories on last MOT
  • Wheels recently professionally refurbished and present very well with no obvious marks
  • Fitted with quality Yokohama tyres in good overall condition with advisory to note on MOT
  • Black fabric hood in very good order with new motor recently fitted by main dealer
  • Headlights and rear lights are clear and damage free and operate correctly
  • Very attractive burgundy leather interior in great order due to low mileage
  • Leather trim covers seats, door cards and dashboard
  • Remaining cabin features indicate little use and show barely any wear
  • Switchgear and dials in good order with only light marks to note
  • Centre console ‘ski slope’ trimmed in very attractive burr walnut
  • Specification includes electric seats and factory navigation system with pop-up display
  • No reported dashboard lights or electrical switchgear malfunctions
The care of this car’s two keepers is evident from the condition of the bodywork, paintwork and interior. There are some very minor points to note in photos, but these are exceptionally light for a car of this age.
It is a beautifully specified car, the dark grey metallic paintwork working well with the hand-crafted burgundy leather.

The Mechanics

  • 5,935cc V12 hand-built Aston Martin engine
  • 6spd automatic gearbox with steering wheel paddles
  • Very well maintained car with 16 service records
  • Most of the servicing work has been undertaken by main dealers
  • Last service by well regarded independent specialist less than 1,500 miles ago in 2024
  • No reported running or driving issues
  • Vendor rates the car mechanically highly and says there are no issues
  • Minor advisory to note on current MOT
Too often, the problem with very low mileage cars is that the lack of use is taken as an excuse not to service and maintain correctly. That is absolutely not the case here.
This car’s two owners have kept the mileage to a very low level yet sent it to Aston Martin main dealers in Surrey and Exeter throughout its life, irrespective of the mileage covered. The result is a run of servicing from new that would be impressive on a car of two or three times the mileage. All work has been by those main dealers except the last one in May 2024, which was undertaken by well-regarded Bristol independent Swallows.
The car has covered few miles since the work by Swallows and is reported to be in very good order with no major work for the buyer to contend with on purchase. This really is a DB9 that is ready to enjoy.
