The Appeal

The Boxster S is a car that needs little introduction to the enthusiast. Known for its engaging drive, balanced handling and punchy performance, it's a car that delivers on the promise of the Porsche badge in a distinctly compact and nicely-styled platform.

This particular example, however, is something truly unique. Christened 'The Barbie Car' by the registered keeper's daughter, 'Pinkie' is a car with a story that's as colourful as its paintwork. The car was made to match the registered keeper's favourite shoes, and the specially-matched colour was even named after it - 'the pink shoe'. The story of luxury living and aesthetic ascent was quickly picked up by the British press.
Despite its flamboyant exterior, this Boxster S has lived a comfortable, calm existence. It has been lightly used over its lifetime, averaging just 4,500 miles per year. Regularly serviced at Parr in Crawley and recently restored by a local classic car specialist, this car has been maintained to a high standard.

The vendor notes that the car is fun to drive, holds the road well and offers excellent acceleration. This is a unique opportunity to own a quirky piece of Porsche history!
