The Appeal
2002 was a big year for the 996. The engine was enlarged to 3.6L, with power nudged up to 315bhp, and a new model arrived, the C4S.
Available as a coupe and, as here, a full convertible, the C4S used the revised engine mated to a grippy AWD system. Turbo-look aesthetics, particularly front bumper and rear wings, added to a very compelling package.
This C4S is a very low mileage car finished in dark blue with grey leather. A couple of neat details dial up the drama of those cosmetics, including a fixed rear spoilers classic ‘Carrera’ graphics. It is fitted with the versatile Tiptronic gearbox and is in very good condition.
The car arrives on the market after a recent major service. The water pump and coil packs were also replaced along with a driveshaft gaiter and anti roll bar. The MOT runs to March 2025 with no advisories.
