The Appeal

Nissan’s ‘Z’ cars have long been a discerning choice for those seeking a supremely capable sports car.
The 350Z was particularly accomplished - as anyone who’s ever driven one will attest to. Most 21st-century sports cars are front-wheel-drive and turbocharged - which is all very well. But there’s something rather refreshing and pure about the way a car like the 350Z goes down the road with its powerful NA V6 and old-school rear-wheel-drive handling.
This 2004 manual example was supplied new to the UK in right-hand drive and has remained here ever since. The vendor is emigrating, however, so reluctantly, it’s time to find their beloved Nissan a new custodian. It’s been tastefully modified with an uprated air intake and exhaust which ensure that big V6 breathes easily to maximise performance. It recently passed an MOT test in readiness for the new keeper while the car’s service history is quite comprehensive for its age.
If you’re looking for a 350Z that’s ready to enjoy or become the basis for further improvements or modifications, this would be an excellent candidate.

The History and Paperwork

  • MOT valid until 1st July 2025
  • 114,274 miles
  • UK-supplied right-hand drive example
  • Offered for sale as the vendor is emigrating
  • V5C present
  • Accompanied by a large collection of servicing paperwork
  • Around £2,000 has recently been spent professionally rectifying rear subframe corrosion - a common 350Z issue

The Condition

  • Striking orange paint scheme
  • Neat additional vent was added for the aftermarket air intake
  • Prominent black boot spoiler which complements the alloy wheels
  • The wheels exhibit a few marks and signs of deterioration
  • Underside restored to a very good standard according to seller
  • We see some slight bubbling to the paint around the wheel arches but this does not appear excessive
  • The vendor repots that there are only minor scratches and chips to paintwork
  • We are told that there is a shallow cut to one of the tyres
  • The original upholstery is in good shape overall
  • The driver’s outer seat bolster has a temporary repair
  • Aftermarket centre console and gear lever
  • Double-DIN Pioneer infotainment screen
  • Equipped with heated seats and air conditioning

The Mechanics

  • 3.5-litre NA V6
  • Six-speed manual gearbox
  • Upgraded air intake and exhaust system fitted
  • We’re informed that the car performs very well and is immense fun to drive
  • The vendor reports an intermittent engine rattle likely traced to timing chain
  • We’re not advised of any other known mechanical issues
