The Appeal
No stranger to producing some of the most capable and trusted utility vehicles, Land Rover certainly hit the nail on the head with the Defender. These iconic 4x4s offer a fantastic combination of practicality and capability, continually presenting fantastic potential as dependable workhorses, quirky daily drivers, overlanding conversions, and collection pieces.
The example presented today is both incredibly eye-catching, and interesting, having previously been used as a winch vehicle in the 90’s for one of the water authorities. The vehicle was then sold at auction following a failed MOT for chassis corrosion, before being acquired by the highly regarded PVH Land Rovers of Stokesley. PVH would then rebuild the mighty 90 with a galvanised chassis and plenty of new parts, prior to registering the new vehicle in 2004.
The vehicle would later be acquired by the current keeper in 2015, who has since cherished this stunning 90, spending considerable expense making it the vehicle it is today. Throughout their ownership, this 90 has been converted with an automatic gearbox, fitted with a huge array of tasteful upgrades, and kept in superb mechanical order.
Now offered in fantastic overall condition, with just 4 former keepers, a low mileage figure of just 76K and impressive history, this is easily one of the finer examples available today.
