2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0

Highlights

  • Only 2 previous keepers
  •  53,865 miles from new
  • Valid MOT until September 2025

The Appeal

The Grand Cherokee was marketed as the most capable off-roader ever built - and honestly, it's hard to argue with that catchline. This imposing, nicely-trimmed 4x4 only had to rub shoulders with the Range Rover when it arrived on the market. By the mid-2000s, it had clearly inspired the likes of the Cayenne and the X5. That made this 2003 example a superb mid-range for a newly luxurious age - and one that's still well worth adopting.

Featuring a handsome wood-capped cabin, and an imposing black livery, this Cherokee is every bit as comfortable as it would have been rolling out of Jeep's Austrian plant. Having only covered a scant 53,865 miles, and passed through only two keepers, this off-roader is ready and waiting for its new keeper - accompanied by a long MOT.

The History and Paperwork

  • Built in 2004 for the UK market
  • The DVLA records 2 previous keepers
  • In current ownership since 2006
  • over 53,865 miles from new, proven by the car's MOT history
  • Valid MOT until September 2025

The Condition

  • Black paintwork in good order
  • Some scuffs and marks here and there, particularly to the bumpers
  • Some occasional dents and dings, commensurate with age
  • Trims look in good order
  • Alloys show some sign of wear
  • Internally, the car is very nicely finished
  • Leather seats carry only light creasing
  • No sign of any rips or tears
  • Fascias and veneers in good order
  • All instruments are legible
  • Carpets and headlining in good order

The Mechanic

  • 4.0-Litre AMC 242 six-cylinder
  • 4-speed automatic transmission
  • Engine bay in good overall order
  • Front brake discs are reportedly slightly worn, as are the rear bushes
  • We've no reports of any mechanical issues

Hi, the car looks great for its age but I can't see any reference to service history. Can we know how many services its had and when the last one was completed? Thanks.

The car has been in the family since new and had regular services initially . The last oil change with oil filter, new coil pack and a battery in the last 6 months. Let me know if any further queries.
