The Appeal
If you love high-revving, naturally aspirated performance, a Honda Civic Type-R is the car for you. The first Civic to receive the ‘Type-R’ nomenclature was MkVI in 1997, but this was only available in Japan. Fortunately, the next Type-R, the Mk VII EP3, did come to the UK - in fact, it was designed specifically for the British market and was manufactured not in Japan but in Swindon, Wiltshire.
These cars have garnered a cult following over the years, beloved of track day regulars as well as a practical choice for a one-car-fits-all daily driver. This 2004 example is one of the few remaining original examples - the only known modification being an uprated stainless steel exhaust.
This Civic looks to be in good condition for its age with just 105,408 miles and a large service portfolio. Having been off the road since 2021, it now requires some restoration/recommissioning in order to bring it back to its best.
