The Appeal
After acquiring Bentley in 1998, new owners Volkswagen separated the marque from Rolls-Royce for the first time in six decades. The German giant had big plans for Bentley, including a brand new Continental model that was to be considerably less expensive than the £180,000 hand-built car currently offered under that name.
The new Continental GT was a masterstroke. Despite its lower pricetage and mass-produced nature, the GT did not feel in any way like a downgrade from its pricey predecessor. It was a considerably more advanced car, both technically and cosmetically, and buoyant sales proved they were on to a winning formula.
Today, early W12-engined Continental GTs are still in high demand, especially low-mileage, well-specified and beautifully maintained examples like this one from 2004. Resplendent in the very fetching colour scheme of Cypress Green over a Portland/Laurel interior, this Bentley really looks the part and the photographs show just how well-kept it is.
Complete with advisory-free MOT until August 2025, this Continental GT is ready to go.
