The Appeal

To call the Avantime ambitious would be a gross understatement. It tried to sit at the centre of a Venn diagram made up of 'Coupé', 'Estate', 'MPV' and 'Grand Tourer'. And somehow, it managed it, cherry-picking the best bits of all these different cars and incorporating them into one mightily impressive package. There's been nothing quite like it before or since, and as a result, Avantimes remain high sought after among collectors to this day. Whether you're one of them, or simply want a great all-rounder, the Avantime still represents a great buy.

This 2003 Renault Avantime Dynamique benefits from a great deal of work carried out since the vendor acquired it back in 2012. Besides regular servicing, this program of improvement started with a new stainless steel exhaust in 2013, the air conditioning compressor was replaced in 2016, the gearbox was rebuilt and a new clutch fitted in 2018, while the ignition components were replaced in 2024.

The Renault remains in very good condition and the odometer currently shows 92,283 miles. With its MOT valid until February 2025, this Avantime is ready for its next adventure.
