The Appeal
For Porsche enthusiasts, the 996 is the 911 you can live with as a weekend treat or a daily driver. The big question is not, do you want a 996, but which one?
This car surely ticks every box. It is the later Carrera 2 with the more powerful 3.6L 315bhp flat six. Then there’s the manual box. That covers the mechanicals. Add in a cabriolet body with optional hard top and you surely have a car for all seasons and all motoring eventualities.
Finished in Cobalt Blue metallic, it is a very low mileage car - under 55,000 miles in 21 years - and has clearly been loved and maintained by its two keepers. The history file is very impressive, showing a run of regular servicing irrespective of mileage and major jobs like the IMS bearing and new clutch recently completed.
Last serviced in July and with MOT to June next year, this is a very tidy 996 in the right specification that wears its years very lightly indeed.
