Highlights

  • Stunning example of a 996 911 Carrera 4S
  • Great value for money sports car
  • Low mileage car
  • Amazing condition throughout

The Appeal

The rear-engine Porsche 911 is often seen as one of the best sportscars for those getting into the premium market.
Despite its age, this particular 996 Carrera 4S is no exception having been beautifully cared for all its life. Indeed, it has been seldom used by its previous owner showing just 40,000 miles on the odometer. Yet, it has always been properly serviced and maintained.
Presenting in a stunning specification and in even greater condition, it is sure to turn heads.

The Interior

  • Stunning Savannah interior
  • Great condition throughout the cabin
  • Everything inside works

A 2003 car, this Porsche 911 Carrera 4S has covered very few miles since leaving the factory and that is evident by looking at the interior. In fact, the gorgeous Savannah leather upholstery is seemingly untouched with almost no signs of use.
The electrically adjusted seats present in near-perfect condition with no creasing or marks whilst the matching colour carpets also look stunningly clean. Grey suede headlining looks to be secure and provides nice contrast from the tan cabin as does the black centre console.
Much like the rest of the cabin, the multifunction steering wheel is spotless as are the handbrake, gear selector and dashboard. With many early 2000s tech onboard, the owner reports that everything is in working order.

The Exterior

  • Facelift Porsche 996 styling
  • Great Meridian Metallic silver paint

In 2002, the Porsche 911 received a major facelift adopting a more traditional take on the fried egg headlight design. This 2003 car benefits greatly from this, distancing itself from the entry-level Boxster of the time. Indeed, the car appears purposeful and ready to pounce in a much sharper way than the original 996 design.
That fresh shape is finished in a magnificent coat of Meridian Metallic Silver. Thanks to its lowly mileage figure, this car has clearly never required a fresh lick of paint meaning it proudly displays in its original frock from the factory.
This pairs nicely with the subtle Hollow Spoke wheels most commonly associated as standard with the 996 Turbo variants. These rims present in great shape with little more than a scratch to note. The rear tyres were replaced in 2021 with a set of Pirelli P-Zeros whilst the front axle features a pair of Toyo Proxes tyres dating back to 2015.
Underneath, the car is in super shape with very little signs of corrosion. Indeed, the it has spent most of its life tucked away from moisture and salty British roads.

The Mechanics

  • 3.6-litre flat-six, 320hp
  • Good servicing record
  • Runs as it should
Much like every Carrera model, this model from 2003 boasts a 3.6-litre flat-six mounted just above the rear axle. Sending 320hp to all four wheels in the C4S specification, it is certainly enough to get the car going, without having to go break-neck speeds to have fun. That is linked to a five-speed automatic transmission as standard.
Throughout its life, the car has been serviced, though the booklet has not been stamped every time. Indeed, the owner informs us that the car has often been serviced during its MOT check by Porsche specialists. In addition to the service history, the car comes with a folder full of invoices from work done over the years.
As a result of this good maintenance history and a low mileage figure, the car still runs perfectly according to the owner. Indeed, it starts on the button and drives as one would expect. Furthermore, with the sports exhaust, that flat-six is sure to sing all the way to its 8,000rpm redline.

Summary

The Porsche 911 is often thought of as the perfect sportscar and this particular model in a great specification and all-wheel drive certainly backs that statement up. Indeed, it is sure to be an easy to handle model all whilst offering the thrill of 320hp at 7,000rpm.
Having seen very little use during its existence and been well cared for by its previous owners, it is sure to provide many miles of pleasant motoring.
