Highlights
- Capable track day weapon
- Upgraded performance specification
- Good example of these highly regarded sports cars
- Well maintained with low mileage
The Appeal
When car makers decide to revisit classic models - we’re thinking Ford and its modern Capri - things can go badly wrong. Not so with Nissan’s Noughties Z-car, the 350Z. It brilliantly evoked and reinvigorated the lineage with a car that was quick, brilliantly balanced and looked great too.
The 350Z is a potent, supercar-bating road car, but works equally well as a track day weapon. For that you want one that has been properly set up by someone who knows tracks and knows their way around the JDM parts lists.
This car is exactly that. The elevated specification is hugely impressive and delivers a stock-looking car that is considerably more planted and potent than the factory model. The list of enhancements is a long one and includes Nismo racing parts in the engine, OS-GIKEN clutch with flywheel and release bearing and an revised ECU. Naturally brakes, tyres, suspension and other components have been brought up to the same level.
The joy of this car is that, aside from some obvious alterations at the back, it looks stock. Inside there’s the same comfy red leather interior, which is well preserved thanks to the low mileage. The 350Z is one of recent history’s best sports cars. This one looks huge fun.
