THE APPEAL
The Mercedes SL has been with us since 1954, growing from strength to strength with each model produced; this fifth-generation R230 took the SL to new levels. Launched in 2001, the R230 design was much sleeker and smoother than its predecessor, and it also came with much more technology. The main addition was the removable hard top; gone are the days of taking an army of men to lift off the hardtop as soon as the sun broke through. Instead, now, at the touch of a button, the roof folds away in just a few seconds. That is just one of the advances; there is a whole host of others, from satellite navigation to the ABC (Active Body Control) suspension, which helps ensure the SL500 goes precisely where you point it.
This lovely 2003 SL500 comes with an extremely low 28,900 miles, which can be backed up with the online MOT history. The condition of the Tanzanite Blue Metallic paintwork is excellent for the age of the vehicle. Inside is full beige leather, again in good condition. Just four previous keepers have had the pleasure of this luxury grand tourer. Will you be the next?

All this is rolled into a car with less than 30,000 miles on the clock and a full service history. Does it really get much better?
