The Appeal
Heralded by none other than Jeremy Clarkson as “the best car in the world and the best 4x4”, the L322 Range Rover was indeed one of the most impressive vehicles Land Rover has ever produced.
Years of BMW-backed development ensured the mistakes made during the tight-budgeted gestation of the P38 were not repeated. So by the time the L322 was ready for launch, it had been rigorously tested and superbly engineered.
For L322 fans, of which there are many, we’re pleased to offer this highly specified 2003 example which has a mere 37,386 miles on the odometer. These cars are so often a victim of their own success in that they’re so useful that most have covered stratospheric mileages. That makes this a rare survivor that’s eminently worthy of your consideration.
It appears to have only been enjoyed as a family wagon - it doesn’t even have a tow bar and the spare wheel has reportedly never been used. The specification is equally compelling. Finished in smart Monte Carlo Blue with cream piped leather interior, this car really looks the part. Under the bonnet, we find the highly regarded BMW M62 engine - a smooth and powerful 4.4-litre V8 with 286 bhp on tap.
This Range Rover is impeccably presented throughout, in very good condition and benefits from a lifetime of regular servicing.
We can heartily recommend this modern classic 4x4.
