The Appeal

The L322 is still heralded as one of the best 4x4s ever to hit the market - even in the mind of fiercely opinionated funny man, Jeremy Clarkson. It's easy to see why - while Range Rovers past rumbled along with a separate chassis and live axles, the L322 was largely developed in Munich by the bods at BMW, and offered a monocoque steel body and independent suspension that utterly transformed the 4x4's personality.

The new Rangie was smoother, more accurate in its steering, and still maintained that rugged, go-anywhere, do-anything personality. Indeed, they're still a pretty common sight on the road - though, as time goes on and they get long in the tooth, a really good example is becoming rather scarce.

This example offers exactly that. With a desirable Epsom Green over Sand colour scheme and extended walnut trim, it's a very sophisticated Best-of-British car at its best. Recently treated to refurbished wheels and a full, professional respray, it's a fabulous ambassador for want makes the third-gen Range Rover one of the best in the brand's heritage.
