The Appeal
Jaguar's mid-life improvements to the X100 made an already good car even better. The engine was enlarged to the classic ‘4.2L’ displacement and a new, stronger 6spd gearbox added to the drivetrain. No wonder, then, that later cars like this 2003 example are popular with enthusiasts.
It is a very good one that has clearly been looked after. Finished in the popular combination of Platinum Silver metallic over Warm Charcoal, it has full service history - to 81,328 miles in June 2024 - and has a long, advisory-free MOT to July 2025. Recent work includes £4,000 of improvements to the sills and arches. The history file shows a gearbox service and replacement discs and pads all round less than 10,000 miles ago.
Few cars do relaxed, luxurious and sporting quite like a XK8 convertible. This looks a good one and comes with the private ‘JAG’ plate valued at £1,000.
