The Appeal
The Sportster model is as intrinsic to Harley Davidson as the whump whump of those classic engines. A huge range of models have been available over the years of which the high compression ‘XLH’ 883 with Hugger low seat styling is surely one of the most appealing.
For 2003 only Harley Davidson offered these models as special ‘100th Anniversary’ limited editions. Unique nameplates and medallions define them as being, quite naturally, even more special. This was also the last year of production for the revered frame mounted 883cc air cooled Evolution engine.
20 years on collectors are increasingly interested in these models so this Aniversary XLH883 Hugger is particularly appealing. It ticks all the above boxes and has just 21 miles on the clock. Carefully stored by its three owners it is a concours-standard, collector-quality bike for discerning enthusiasts.
