The Appeal
Yes, you did read that right. 6,245 miles.
That’s less distance than the average car covers in just one year here in the UK. If you’re a fan of the 916 Spider, you’d be hard-pressed to find another example anywhere near as good. It’s never failed an MOT nor accrued a single advisory!
Today’s Alfa Romeo range just isn’t the same without a Pininfarina-penned Spider. Collaboration between the two great Italian firms dates back to the 1930s, but it was the advent of the 101 Giulietta Spider in 1955 which cemented their relationship. It was the first car Pininfarina produced in large numbers and would go on to spawn a lineage of beautiful roadsters. The iconic 105 Series came next, and after that we got the supremely stylish 916 based upon Fiat’s front-wheel-drive ‘Tipo Due’ platform.
Praised as “one of the best sports cars of its time” by renowned Alfisti Jeremy Clarkson, the 916 GTV/Spider was highly regarded when it was new. And it continues to be a firm favourite among enthusiasts; an irrefutable modern classic. With its ultra-low mileage and enviable original condition, you don’t need us to tell you that this 2003 example is eminently worthy of your consideration. The vendor notes that it still drives like a new car. If you’ve always fancied an exotic Italian roadster, this is the car to buy.
