The Appeal

It’s a combination to warm the heart of any petrolhead: a Pininfarina-styled, drop-top Alfa Romeo, finished in classic red with tan interior and equipped with the firm’s legendary 3.2L 24V 240bhp ‘Busso’ V6. That motor is widely regarded as one of the greatest petrol engines ever built.
Despite all those qualities, very few RHD facelift 916 Spiders were sold with the Busso motor. Even fewer remain in the condition of this car, which recently arrived in the UK. The state of preservation is due to spending its life in Japan, where the salt-free roads and high maintenance standards make its cars popular export targets. It was used sparingly, clocking up less than 58,000 miles in its 22 years.
This one conforms to type, adding continuous servicing and maintenance to its elevated condition. The last service was only a few hundred miles ago. A lengthy MOT to September 2025 with no advisories underlines the condition.
The 916 Spider is one of the treats of Alfa’s recent model history. Add that glorious engine and you have a truly great car. This is one of the best we’ve seen in a while.
The vendor says:

"Overall, it's not just a car—it's a statement of style and performance, a testament to Alfa Romeo's dedication to creating vehicles that are both beautiful and powerful, and to “top it off” a fantastic investment opportunity !"
