The Appeal
The Boxster was good, a brilliant alternative to the 911, but the Boxster S was much better. Bestowing it with the bigger 3.2L flat six, good for 250bhp, finally gave buyers the performance to match the car’s inherent abilities.
These early, first-generation cars are increasingly popular with collectors because they are so rewarding and usable. The Boxster S’s sheer drivability makes low mileage, well kept cars like this one hard to find but worth seeking out. It arrived in Poland in 2019 after spending its life on the salt-free roads of Japan. Since 2020 it has been part of a classic car collection and used sparingly.
The kilometerage today is still under 80,000 from new, That has kept the attractive Navy Blue metallic paintwork and unusual red leather cabin in very good order. A bonnet, front bumper and rear wing respray in Japan have helped.
This is a well-maintained and tidily presented car with a desirable specification. One not to miss.
