2002 Porsche 996 911 3.6 Targa Tiptronic S

** Please note the auction does NOT include the number plates which are available by separate negotiation **

Highlights

  • Impeccably maintained by specialists Hartech
  • High specification car with desirable Targa top
  • Recent major service and pre-sale fettling work
  • Long MOT to September 2024 with no advisories
  • Just two owners from new

The Appeal

The 996 achieved something that Porsche enthusiasts thought impossible: it successfully replaced the original with a car that set new standards for drivability and performance in its sector.
The first major improvement to the 996 came in 2002 with the enlarged 3.6litre engine and return of the classic ‘Targa’ top. Unlike the previous version, this Targa cleverly retained the coupe aesthetics with a full length glasshouse and opening sunroof.
This early Targa is fitted with the Tiptronic box and has been impeccably maintained. Its long term London owner goes to the trouble of arranging for the car to be transported by flatbed truck to specialist Hartech in Bolton because he considers this outfit the best Porsche specialist in the country.
Recent work includes a major service plus other pre-sale fettling work, all by Hartech. There is also a long, advisory-free MOT to September 2024. The seller is only selling this much-loved car because he is emigrating – making this a fantastic opportunity for the buyer.
