The Appeal
Perhaps the ultimate derivative of the 996, the Carrera 4S hit the market in 2002, and really set up the company's goals for the still-fresh millennium. Wider, sure-footed and with an enlarged 3.6-Litre engine, it was also amongst the most distinctive of the 911s thanks to its minor styling changes. The car was a perfect mid-point between the rather brash, lightly trimmed GT cars and the earlier, slightly less stable Carrera counterparts before it. Now, it's a highly prized modern classic - a perfect entry into 911 ownership.
This one is a simply remarkable car. It's covered only 638 genuine miles from new, and spent some twenty years with one family - that's a remarkably clean lineage for a sports car that traditionally gobbles up the miles with gusto. Lightly used, pampered and kept in dry storage, the resulting car is solid, nicely presented and working beautifully.
Whether you're a seasoned Porsche enthusiast or new to one of the most engaging sports cars in history, this is an opportunity you shouldn't miss out on.

The lines of the 911 have become one of the most recognisable silhouettes in motoring history, and the 996 was controversial upon release for some significant changes. A raked-back windshield and smoothed-down curves made this generation feel eminently more modernised and untraditional, but as a direct result, it's aged with remarkable grace.
This example is in superb condition, as you'd expect for a car so lightly used. Excellent clean lines, free of any dents or dings, tight panel fits and solid alloys all make up a car that looks remarkably as if it's just left the showroom. The chassis is clean and solid, too - free of any corrosion or significant wear.

Powered by the first water-cooled engine ever fitted to a 911, the 996-series saw a major break from tradition for Stuttgart, and raised a lot of eyebrows in the process. It's ultimately settled into familiar equipment, and still offers that charismatic experience you'd hope for when behind the wheel.
This car was recommissioned for the road, which included new plugs and flush and change of brake fluid. They also repaired the driver's window, which had seized, and the rear 'cubby box' latch - alongside the Tiptronic multifunction switch and a heat exchanger seal. Once this was completed, the car was in excellent order throughout, and the vendor is unaware of any issues since.
