THE APPEAL
Costing over £117,000 when new, without adding any extras, what a fantastic car the SL55 AMG Kompressor is, and it's fun with 469hp at your disposal! The Mercedes is capable of hitting 0-60mph in just 4.6 seconds and has a limited top speed of 155mph, but unrestricted, it’s said to be capable of exceeding 200mph, making it faster than a Ferrari 550 and Porsche 911 GT2. This power is achieved from the wonderful hand-built M113 5.4 litre Supercharged V8 engine.
Being the AMG model, this 2002 SL55 comes with a fantastic spec. Bi-xenon headlights, Active Body Control Suspension, 18” AMG wheels, AMG styling with a front spoiler and side skirts, Designo-Brilliant Black paint, and Parktronic system, to name a few. If that's not enough, you have the SL’s party trick with the fully retractable hard-top, which is hidden away in around 16 seconds. This car has been well maintained and has only covered a touch over 60,000 miles.

SUMMARY
A grand tourer on an even grander scale, thanks to the AMG team, who have created this fantastic model, which put it against some of the best supercars of the time. The 5.4 litre supercharged V8 is recognised as one of the most bulletproof engines produced, and the last of the amazing Kompressor engines used by Mercedes-AMG, and as soon as you hear it, you will know why.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a 2002 low-mileage, Designo edition SL55 AMG finished in Desingo-Brilliant Black. It ticks all the boxes for performance, spec and condition; what more could you ask for?
