The Appeal

Ever since 1967, AMG has been extracting serious performance from Mercedes Benz cars, and the SL55 AMG is widely regarded as one the greatest machines the firm has ever produced. Its 5.4-litre supercharged V8 offered 469 horsepower and 517 lb ft of torque, all without compromising on the SL's innate style, luxury and build quality.

This 2002 example stands out for its mere 47,484 miles and full service history, not to mention its enviable condition, which is evident from the photographs.

The vendor purchased the SL on 17th September 2024 in part exchange and is current held on a Trade Account, showing just three former registered keepers. Since purchase it has been stored in a heated garage and connected to a battery stabiliser system to maintain the batteries. The car received a full service on the 3rd March 2025 and its advisory-free MOT is valid until 19th March 2026.
