The Appeal
The 3200GT was a serious return to form, a svelte Giugiaro-penned grand tourer with a 360bhp factory V8. This was a smoother, more comfortable and relaxed sports car than its national rivals, but one that was just as rewarding.
These early cars incorporate some lovely detailing, like the ‘boomerang’ rear lights, that mark them out with enthusiasts. Finished in dark metallic blue with a blue and black leather cabin, this 3200GT Automatica (GTA) is one of the last built and one that has been obviously well maintained.
That much is clear from the condition and the thick history file, in particular the service records which show attention throughout its life only by main dealers and renowned specialists. This work has been quite meticulous, covering routine and preventative work irrespective of the issue. A long, advisory-free MOT to May 2025 underlines this impression.
The 3200GTA is one of Maserati’s best resolved cars. Good cars stand out in the market and this is one of them.
