Highlights
- Low mileage, diligently maintained V6-variant
- Consistent Jaguar servicing records
- Elegant spec and beautifully presented
- ULEZ compliant
The Appeal
The X-Type was dubbed by Autocar at its launch as Jaguar’s ‘most important car ever’ as they attempted to enter the compact executive saloon market that had been dominated by BMW’s 3 Series and the C-Class of Mercedes. Executed perfectly, the car was a roaring success after firmly implementing it into the company car market. Jaguar's sales doubled as a result.
The combination of Jaguar's aesthetic attention to detail as well as Ford's performance and reliability, the X-Type benefited from a well-developed fusion between both marques allowing it to excel during its eight-year production to 2008.
Driving a Jaguar always imbues a sense of occasion. This fabulous example ticks all the boxes being highly spec’d as well as a time capsule condition-wise.
