The Appeal
We're huge fans of grassroots motorsport here at Car & Classic. So we're delighted to offer this home-built road-legal track car based upon the supremely capable Honda Civic Type-R. With their V-TEC engines that just love to rev, these Type-Rs are eminently tuneable. Strip put the bits you don't need, upgrade the suspension, brakes and tyre technology, and you've got a seriously competitive car.
That's exactly what our vendor has done. With a host of performance upgrades, including a rebuilt gearbox with an MFactory helical LSD, stiffer engine mounts, and a lightened flywheel, this Civic Type-R is ready to deliver exhilarating performance. The suspension has been enhanced with Meister R coilovers with a fast road geometry setup and stiffer anti-roll bars front and rear with new drop links. Whether you're a seasoned track day enthusiast or looking to enter the world of motorsport, this Civic Type-R offers a compelling package.
The vendor sums up their time with the car thusly:
"It has great handling and grip in dry and wet. It has put a smile on my face every track day and has been very reliable. The Civic has not been embarrassed by far more expensive machinery! I am moving on to hill climb racing and do not have space for both cars, hence the sale."
