The plus
Jaguar acquired Daimler, formerly a separate company, in 1960. Some say William Lyons was primarily interested in getting his hands on Daimler's remarkable Turner V8 engine - and there's certainly some truth in that. However, he clearly had plans for the brand, as it continued to produce models until 2007.
Here's an elegant Daimler V8, the successor to the Double Six that Jaguar (then owned by Ford) launched in 1997. These cars were extremely refined, driven notably by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in her time, and used as the official vehicle of the British Prime Minister during the Tony Blair era.
This 2002 long-wheelbase model is offered here in very good condition, as shown in the photos. This is partly due to its low mileage of just 89,772 since new. It also benefits from an exceptional service history, with regular servicing carried out at Jaguar dealerships.
