The Appeal

Introduced in 1998, the Arnage took the spot of the much loved Mulsanne Turbo in Bentley's industrious line up, and came as either 'Green Label' - with a BMW 32-valve engine - or 'Red Label', with the practically synonymous 6.75-litre V8 powerplant that had become such a fixture in the company's repertoire. The Red Label won out in the end, due to a ton of company politics that could practically fill a novel - and thanks to its 50hp benefit over the Beamer, it was the fastest, most powerful four-door production car in the world upon release.

This example was originally based in the luxuriant, dry conditions of the Emirates, and has only recently been imported to the Netherlands. It's spent a fair bit of time standing still, and the vendor reports that some mechanical work is going to be necessary to get it running again. Once that's done and it's been registered, though, it'll no doubt prove a very rewarding car.
