The Appeal
It's amazing what British carmakers can achieve when they all work together. The DB7 story starts with Tom Walkinshaw Racing, who wanted to explore the potential of the Jaguar XJS platform. Financial backing from Ford and resources from Jaguar got the ball rolling, while the legendary Ian Callum was tasked with making the finished car look like an Aston Martin should. Despite a shoestring budget, the DB7 made it to market by 1994 and road testers were quick to discover that the new car more than lived up to the prestigious 'DB' moniker.
This 2002 example is presented in a striking blue, with a light beige interior and complementary blue piping. The car was registered on the 28th of March 2002 and it has since covered a warranted 95,000 miles with its six former registered keepers. The Aston has been enjoyed on many European tours and has been used as a trusted ride to Le Mans. It comes very highly specified and exceedingly well looked after, with 14 stamps in the owner's booklet and a vast collection of MOT certificates.
The car has just received an enormous quantity of work carried out by City Auto Sense Ltd (traditionally a Rolls-Royce and Bentley specialist) last spring, totalling £8,677.16. The work consisted of a Full mechanical overhaul and Service, so that the car is ready to be enjoyed.
