The Appeal
Some grand touring cars lean into the GT’s sporting theme. Others, like Mercedes-Benz’ C215, firmly focus on the luxury and comfort.
This V12-engined 370bhp CL600 is, of course, quick. Its clever adaptive suspension means it is planted too. But these sumptuous, pillarless coupes are essentially two-door versions of the firm’s S-Class saloon. That means cossetting comfort and arriving relaxed and unruffled, whatever the length of the drive.
This example has covered few miles in its 23 years with only a handful of keepers. The current one has retained it since 2017 and is only selling now due to lack of use. It is a well specified car - the combination of Brilliant Silver and Anthracite leather is a popular one - and remains in good condition throughout. It has been regularly serviced and comes to market with a long MOT to December 2025.
The C215 is the sort of car that suggest Mercedes-Benz’ engineers were given free reign. This is a well maintained and sorted example of the desirable V12 model.
