The Appeal
It’s interesting to note that up to the launch of the Discovery in 1989, Land Rover made only one model in 90 or 110 guise, and it became necessary to introduce the Defender name to differentiate it from its new stable mate.
Renowned throughout the world, and often imitated, the various versions of the original Land Rover have now attained legendary status, and rightly so. Still employed as farm vehicles, military transport, family wagons and rugged off road transport all over the world they are as popular as ever.

Bought by the Seller from his employer, he knows the Land Rover well having worked on it whilst they owned it. It was given a fresh coat of paint in 2020, and was driven occasionally until he bought it in 2020. Since then he has covered a further 16,000 miles whilst adding a host of upgrades to improve the power.
The TD5 10p engine was swapped for a later and more dependable TD5 15p engine in March 2023 when it was also treated to Stage 3 ECU tuning. Recently the front brakes have been replaced along with the rear shock absorbers.
