The Appeal
The X308 was the last of a certain type of Jaguar saloon, ones that exude the long, low, louche style of the original XJ. Sovereign specification leans into the luxury of these wood and leather-trimmed lounges while ticking the long wheelbase option adds limousine-like comfort.
This very low mileage 4L XJ8 LWB Sovereign is in beautiful condition. The Pacific Blue over ivory colour scheme is one we know chimes well with enthusiasts. Its trio of keepers have used it sparingly and looked after it as a full run of servicing by Jaguar attests. The last service was by Harwood Jaguar in November 2024 - the car has barely covered 150 miles since.
The vendor is a marque enthusiast and member of the local Jaguar Driver’s Club. He has shown the car at the Club’s events, including scooping first prize in class in June 2024. It is only for sale because he has lost the car’s garaging.
There are other XJ8s but few with the specification, low mileage and maintenance history of this one. As an added incentive, the MOT runs to July 2025 with no advisories.
The vendor writes:
“The car drives beautifully with its silky smooth 4.0-litre V8 and sports automatic gearbox, it is very powerful, smooth and comfortable and can easily cope with modern traffic. It is a car to be savoured and enjoyed.”
