The Appeal
“A muscular athlete in a finely tailored suit”. That’s how EVO summed up the E39 M5.
This was the first V8-engined M-car and BMW’s first use of Double VANOS, altering the timing of both intake and exhaust camshafts. With 394bhp at 6,600rpm and a 5.3-second 0-62mph time, the E39 M5 became a hero car for petrolheads the world over.
This 2001 example looks to be in superb condition for its age and it’s been subject to a great deal of care and attention during the vendor’s tenure as part of their BMW collection. Serviced during recent months and MOT tested resulting in a clean first-time pass, this BMW is ready to enjoy.
