The Appeal
Often hailed the best 5 Series ever made, the E39 is a poster car for a whole generation of BMW enthusiasts. It was seriously quick when it came out in 1998 and it still is today with a sub-five-second 0-60mph time. Even better still, it only came with a six-speed manual gearbox.
Collectors covet highly specified original examples and here we have just that. This 2001 M5 is resplendent in its original Le Mans Blue paintwork and whoever ordered it originally ticked all the right boxes on the spec sheet.
It remains totally unmodified, yet it has been maintained very well, especially during the last three years in the hands of the present keeper. It’s been kept garaged, used sparingly and the vendor has kept up with the maintenance schedule with BMW main dealers. The MOT runs until May 2025 and there are no advisory items.
If you love E39 BMW M5s, this is the one to buy.
