The Appeal
Modern Aston Martin models have certainly taken much styling inspiration from the likes of Mercedes, appearing to be far more aggressive and sportier than they were back in the day. In fact, this 2001 DB7 V12 Vantage benefits from a far more subtle, timeless design which, paired with an eye-catching colour, out-shines most other road users.
In addition to a fantastic specification, the model presents in great condition, a testament to its low mileage figure of less than 50,000 miles. Despite its 6 different owners, it has been meticulously maintained with frequent service book stamps and a lot of recent work overhauling much of the car’s underpinnings.
A perfect GT for effortless cruising, this car is an excellent model for weekends away in the country or even touring the continent.

The Interior
- Stunning interior specification
- Great condition
- Uprated stereo with Bluetooth compatibility
In true GT style, this Aston Martin DB7 V12 Vantage features a plush, handsome interior. Black leather trim decorates much of the cabin whilst charcoal pipe stitching provides some subtle detail. Capping off this brilliantly adorned space are the touches of walnut veneer across the door cards, centre console and dashboard.
Whilst there is some creasing to the driver’s seat in particular, the rest of the interior appears to be in fantastic condition. The charcoal, Aston Martin-embroidered carpets present well and the wood trim reflects nicely whilst there seem to be no signs of sun damage to the leather dash top. Even the steering wheel and gear knob appear free of wear marks.
A car of its time, we have no reason to believe anything is faulty inside the car. Indeed, the air conditioning for example is said to kick out ice cold air, as it should. The original stereo has been replaced with a modern unit featuring Bluetooth and phone connectivity, perfect for longer journeys, something this car is clearly made for.
The Exterior
- DB7 styling still looks good today
- Equally great condition
- Unusual, yet gorgeous colour
With modern Aston Martin cars moving towards a more aggressive design philosophy, one can only look back at the time of the DB7 with fond memories. This car is a wonderful piece of timeless automotive design that will no doubt remain in fashion for decades to come.
Coupled with the fantastic Canna Di Fucile paint colour, this particular model stands out from the crowd. Indeed, it is most commonly a Ferrari shade, but pairs nicely with this British V12 GT. The silver alloys also contrast the paint colour nicely.
Externally, this Aston presents even better than this inside. The paint shows very few imperfections having clearly been well loved throughout its life. Furthermore, we struggle to spot any marks on the wheels which are fitted with a full set of Bridgestone tyres.
The Mechanics
- 5.9-litre V12, 420hp
- Excellent service history
- Lots of recent work done
- Full health check performed last month
Not only is this car stunning to look at, it is also sure to put out an orchestral roar thanks to the 5.9-litre V12 lurking under the bonnet. Sending 420hp through the automatic transmission to the rear wheels, it is surely nothing if not an effortless drive.
Furthermore, one can only assume it is ready to be enjoyed by its next owner. Indeed, the car has been regularly serviced throughout its life by a mix of main dealer and specialist garages. This is evident by glancing at the fully stamped service booklet. Furthermore, it has recently undergone a lot of mechanical work.
In fact, recent invoices show the suspension, subframe, bearings, belts, handbrake system and pulleys have all seen work done between 2019 and 2023. As a result, the 12-cylinder should roar into life with ease and the vendor describes the driving experience as ‘very enjoyable.’
Summary
A gorgeous design amplified by a rarely seen colour, this 2001 Aston Martin DB7 V12 Vantage is surely one of the more stunning examples on UK roads. Add to that its low mileage, excellent service history and recent upkeep work and you have what one can only assume is a near-perfect example of what this car can be.
