The Nissan Silvia is the series of very popular sport coupes built on the Nissan S platform. Versions of the Silvia have been marketed as the 180SX in Japan and as the 200SX or 240SX for export Nissan offered in Japan a retractable hardtop variant of the Silvia S15 , called the Varietta.

The Varietta was built by Autech and was based on the Spec-S model, featuring the same naturally aspirated engine, with a choice of the 5-speed manual transmission or the 4-speed automatic transmission.

This is a rare type of Nissan Silvia which is uncommon in most places as only 1143 were produced. A very rare and collectable JDM Japanese import.

The car was imported to the UK in 2016 with just one previous owner on V5. The car is a completely unmodified example in great condition.

It was built by Autech, who are a subsidiary of Nissan and based on the S models.

Since import to the UK the car has been meticulously maintained at the same specialist garage, Central Garage in Lichfield and has a detailed service file as a result backing up the cars most recent servicing history and any work undertaken.

Also present is the Japanese stamped service book. Original handbooks and a very rare Autech Convertible handbook are also included along with the V5c and spare keys. The car has a new MOT, valid until 23rd March 2023 with no advisories.

Inside the vehicle  you are treated to a full leather interior(which is in great condition with minimal wear) power steering and electric windows and roof. As this is an “end of production model” the car also benefits from the optional extras of heated leather seats and air con.

The car is also fitted with a head up display showing your speed in MPH.

The exterior of the vehicle is in great condition and due to it coming from Japan where they do not salt their roads, the underside of the vehicle is in decent shape too. It's currently wearing the original wheels which are in great condition with excellent matching Michelin Tyres.

The private registration number is included and goes well with the vehicle as the previous owner and this model shared the name Sylvia. The folding roof is in fine shape and overall the outside of the car is clean with minimal blemishes.

Mechanically the car has covered 115k kms which is circa 72k miles. It has a wealth of service history to back up its maintenance and even still retains most of its factory stickers and check markings underneath and under bonnet.

Most recent invoice present was for a service and maintenance at 115,001. The car runs and drives well and changes gear smoothly.

The standard Nissan S15 Sylvia is a popular car with Japanese Performance car fans, drifters and modified Japanese car enthusiasts. You will be forgiven for maybe not even having seen one of these Varietta Autech variants before especially over here in the UK as they are a rare beast full stop let alone on our shores. 

With prices of this rare model having risen to an all time high its unlikely that any more will be brought into the country so this then is a rare car that will only get rarer.
