Highlights
- A true British icon newly restored
- Perfect for promotional activities
- Appeared on television in France
- A versatile and economical work vehicle
The Appeal
The TX1 had a truly remarkable task for a work vehicle: to replace the iconic 'London black cab' Austin FX4. Combining references to that historic design with completely new elements, it succeeded in its task, becoming a distinctive and much-loved feature of the London scene.
With its Nissan mechanics and incredible turning radius, the TX1s are key players among British taxis. Those that have been transferred to the warmer Italian climate are decidedly rare, but here is one.
It was imported to Italy in 2013 and purchased by the seller in 2022. Last year it underwent a restoration that included a body tune-up, repainting and renewal of the exterior trim. In this condition, it makes an extremely attractive promotional vehicle that is completely standard. Or it could be a practical and economical vehicle for everyday use.
