The Appeal
With the XKR, Jaguar stepped out of their comfort zone, moving away from the vintage styling and mechanics that were slowly becoming outdated in the modern market, and instead experimenting with radical new design, updated mechanics and optional sport trim. The model was a true hit for Jaguar, taking the company in a new direction, the more modern, yet timeless styling, bringing in a level of appeal from a younger previously unexplored market, while still sticking true to the traditional Jaguar values of quality, class and luxury.
Mixing a thunderous 4.0 litre V8 engine with bold red factory paintwork, this 2000 XKR is certainly one of the finer examples of the revered model, and with just over 59 thousand miles on the clock is certainly one of the better preserved XKRs on the market today. The open top tourer is a wonderful example of an incredibly capable modern classic Jaguar, that is primed and ready for a new loving home.
