The Appeal

The XJR marked a concerted return, after 30 years, to the type of car that Jaguar pioneered with the Mk2 3.8. The super saloon. It was built to challenge the M5 and RS6.  With the second generation X308 it certainly did that.
400bhp is on tap courtesy of a big fat supercharger and it handles well too. But this is a Jaguar, so alongside the eyeball swivelling performance there is luxury. It is a very Jaguar type of luxury, one whose calling cards are wood and leather.
This smart X308 XJR is a good example of all those qualities. Classically finished in British Racing Green, it is very well kept across its paintwork and also within the Oatmeal leather cabin. The impression of care and attention extends to the comprehensive service history and sparing mileage. It was most recently serviced 1,000 miles ago in 2023. Further fresh work includes front discs and pads, Goodrich braided brake hoses and the intake and breathing systems have been cleaned.
The enthusiast keeper acquired it to add to his classic car collection. He is only selling now due to lack of space. That is good news for the buyer who gets a very well kept XJR in a classic colour way with a long, advisory-free MOT to February 2025.
