The Appeal
The late 1990s were without question an impactful era for a lot of car manufacturers but no more so than for Porsche. With technology, speed and comfort all reaching never-be-reached levels, the Stuttgart giants took a controversial step towards the modern era with their all-new water-cooled 911, the 996.
Completely redesigned from previous 911’s the 996 utilised the familiar seductive curves that have become so intertwined with the 911 but with an eye-brow-raising new front-end design. The new exterior look features the once controversial fried egg headlight, which Porsche developed in the hope it would appeal more to the younger generation and with it creating lifelong customers.
Registered in 1999, this manual 996 boasts an incredible maintenance folder, with invoices and service entries from numerous Porsche specialists. Presented in overall good condition with some small signs of age, S174APF is an ideal entry to 911 ownership and the exceptional enjoyment that comes with it.
