The Appeal
The C5 Corvette’s arrival was delayed for six years because GM’s coffers were empty. But it was worth the wait: equipped with a new chassis, near perfect weight distribution and the new LS1 5.7litre V8, the C5 was a proper Corvette with great handling and serious grunt.
There were several body styles of which the ‘hatchback coupe’ offered the most versatility.
This 1999 appears to have begun its life in Japan before being imported to the UK in 2016. With just three owners since and sporting a very low mileage, this is a fantastic opportunity to discover just how good a factory-standard Detroit sports car can be.
