The Appeal

Against very stiff competition, Aston Martin’s DB7 can lay a pretty solid claim to being one of the most beautiful cars ever built. It cleverly evolved a lithe Jaguar design into something distinctively Aston.
It is a shape that certain colours, including the dark blue of this car, suit very well. It is an early Vantage, built in the first year of production, and combines that fine paint scheme with a tasteful two-tone grey and blue interior. It is all very well kept, a testament to its handful of keepers and in particular the current one who acquired the car in 2011.
He has reserved the car for show use, where he tells us that it always garners admiring and envious glances. Looking at the photos you can see why. It has wisely been kept factory standard, which means the neat factory details like the 10 spoke 18in alloys and walnut veneers get to shine.
Despite the very sparing use and low total mileage the car has been carefully maintained throughout its life. There is a run of 21 service stamps by main dealers and, more recently, a qualified engineer, and the car will be sold with a full 12 months MOT. Recent work has included two new front tyres, a fuel pump and new battery.
A good DB7 Vantage is as much long-distance holiday tourer as it is car show star. This one is all those things and one we expect to be in high demand.
The seller says:
“There is the lovely sound of the engine and exhaust on start. The car always gets admiring and envious glances whilst at car shows.”
