The Attractions
This was the Defender before it became the luxurious SUV it is today. Designed for hard work and capable of tackling any terrain, no matter how challenging, Defenders were uncompromising, rugged, functional and spartan vehicles, and we like them that way.
This 1998 example is a rare, desirable and versatile double cab pick-up version, ideal for work in the countryside and on large estates. It is also equipped with the highly acclaimed 300 TDi engine, considered by many to be the best of the 'analogue' diesels used by Land Rover over the years. Resplendent in its typically British 'Coniston Green' colour scheme, it looks very attractive indeed, and its Birmabright alloy bodywork displays a fascinating patina acquired over the years.
As visible in the photographs, the chassis and axles of this Land Rover have been sandblasted, protected by a coat of primer and finished to a high standard. The underbody is immaculately presented and the extremely important chassis appears to be in perfect shape.
Registered in Lithuania, this Land Rover represents a very attractive opportunity for European buyers.
