THE APPEAL
Introduced in 1994, the MkII Scorpio was a significant step up from the beloved Granada it replaced. With excellent road manners, the later Scorpio is a tempting ‘top drawer’ proposition capable of eating up the motorway miles in comfort.
Ford’s flagship model, this Ultima features the highly desirable and silky-smooth Cosworth 2.9-litre engine combined with superb trim levels, including sumptuous full leather upholstery and a host of creature comforts. In estate form, it also offers ample load space into the bargain.
This low mileage, two-owner, executive Ford is a rare find these days and is set to become even more desirable especially with the Cosworth power-plant discretely tucked under the bonnet.
