Vendor supplied images
Highlights
- Used as its makers intended - for regular touring between Milan and London
- An immensely smart example that’s beautifully presented inside, out and under the bonnet
- To be supplied with a fresh service and MOT
The Appeal
Since the S3 Continental of 1965, Bentleys were essentially re-badged Rolls-Royces, leading some to recognise that the brand had been somewhat neglected during the latter half of the twentieth century. All was not lost for the once great marque and the Continental R was the car that changed their fortunes for good. It was the first Bentley to use a non-Rolls-Royce body and the positive public reaction demonstrated that the Continental R represented a big step in the right direction.
We’re pleased to report that this 1997 example has been used as its makers intended. The vendor sold it to an Italian antique dealer thirteen years ago and they used it to drive between London and their home in Milan several times a year. While predominantly resided in Milan, garaged when not in use, the Bentley remained UK registered. It’s been well maintained and so is still in fine condition mechanically and cosmetically. Following the death of the previous keeper, the vendor is offering this car once more and shall supply it with a fresh service and valid MOT.
