The Appeal
Early Brooklands cars were designed to channel the style and handling of the Turbo R but not quite the performance. Not so the post-1996 facelift cars. Adding a light-pressure turbo to the smooth 6.75L V8 delivered 295bhp, just like those first Turbo Rs.
Just 675 RHD cars like this one were built. It was one of the last to leave the line, finished in handsome dark blue metallic with a fetching cream leather cabin. The mileage is a paltry 36,000 documented miles from new, mainly in the hands of one 18-year keeper. Despite the sparing use, he kept the servicing up to date - regular stamps applied by main dealers and marque specialists running from new to 34,754 miles. The history file also reveals extensive maintenance and regular checks by well-regarded Phantom Motor Cars.
In good overall condition, this is a tidy and very usable turbocharged Brooklands whose condition is confirmed by a long, advisory-free MOT.
